Why is the night sky black if there is an infinity of stars?

   Olbers' paradox. This is something I wondered ever since I was
   7. I still don't know why. To me, the night sky should be BRIGHT
   if there are so many darned stars. Are they all lined up in a
   row behind each other or somethin'?
