^I learn, you learn: The intake CAMSHAFT, besides controlling
   the 'breathe in" part of the engine , also is used to program
   the proper operation of the DISTRIBUTOR. The distributor does
   several things, but its main purpose is being part of the
   IGNITION system (starts the car). Let's see if i have it right:
   turn the key. Current flows from the battery, the IGNITION COIL
   (which is a transformer) STEPS UP the wimpy battery voltage to
   the high levels needed. The distributor routes the electric
   pulse to the proper spark plug at the proper time.^
