Point of a sword is very real. The point of a conversation is
   successful transference of perceived intent.
   The Universe appears to be 3D and spacetime. 2D, 1D and 0D are
   concepts based upon the simplification mechanisms our brains
   developed to interpret an excess of incoming data that are puny
   little brains can't POSSIBLY take in all at once.

   So, we compress information into patterns. I could go on about
   this, one of my favorite subjects, but I'll be concise for a
   change tongue emoticon   Metaphors. A conceptual point is a
   metaphor for a dot on paper, which is a metaphor for a
   conceptual point. A conceptual line is a metaphor for a line
   drawn on paper which is a metaphor for a conceptual line.
