01/07/2026 I've been thinking about going back to a more analogue lifestyle. I've been too much dependent on my smartphone, and I thing I waste too much time with it. A common problem nowadays. I have been thinking about getting a dumb phone. I grew up with them and it was fine. I'm also spending less time on the web. Modern web is tiresome. Except if we're talking about SDF and the quiet web. Lately my smartphone is always on airplane mode. Some months ago I decided to put all my extra activities on hold, and dedicate myself to my personal projects. I had to stop the noise. The world is very noisy right now. I was needing to make this pause. Having the phone on airplane mode avoids unwanted phone calls, which can be very distracting. Specially when I'm on my corner, my studio, making art. That requires the least distractions possible. As I was talking with someone on Mastodon, I'm having a great pleasure using Gopher. Plain text on a terminal has a certain appeal. There is this sense of quiet and focus, which cannot be achieved in other places. We just write. We just read. And that's it. And it's beautiful. I'm taking a python programming course, but at a very slow pace. I always loved programming and programming languages, but I do it for pleasure. I'm not looking and don't have the skills for a coding job. I wanted to study more, but now and then I start feeling the weight of this city again. Sometimes it drags me down, provoking an intense anxiety. And that makes me loose the will to study whatever it is. I hope things get better. Let's see for how long I can live in this city. My wishes of moving somewhere else are getting stronger, but I don't know where to go.
