I've had my phone in airplane mode for three days. I'm trying to see how long can I survive without using most of the services. I stop watching TV and don't miss it at all. I remember when all we had was TV and only two channels from the same broadcaster. Later on other players entered the game and things got different, but TV programs were of better quality than the programs nowadays. Different times. Now I just turn my TV on to play Xbox and watch Netflix. I also subscribed a while ago to Disney+ just to rewatch the X-Files, but sooner or later I will cancel it. I think I'm looking for a simpler life. That was always my thing. For the past two or three days I've been reading phlogs a lot, because they are quieter than the web. And I get out of my job and need silence. The world nowadays - I think I referred this before - is too noisy. So my daily ritual of the moment after work is to setup a reading place: A chair on my porch and a small table on the side to put books, news papers, coffee and tea. Then I just stay there for one hour or two, just letting my head settle down. Sometimes I even skip the books and stay there watching the skies, letting my head wonder. It's a much needed space. It aligns with my nature. Following my quest for a simpler life, I might get a dumb phone just to see if it is feasable. "Be still. Stillness reveals the secrets of eternity." - Lao Tzu
