It's so hot today, even staying at home is almost unbearable. I'm typing this from an old Acer laptop, with no LCD, connected to a 20 something year old CRT, 1GB Ram and using an old linksys router as wifi bridge. This laptop came with Windows XP but now is running Antix Linux with i3WM. I kinda saved this machine from oblivion and I might turn it into my Gopher machine. Not much happened today. Worked all moring, left my job at 4pm and came home. I had chocolate cereals with milk, then ate an apple and, because I was not satisfied, I munched some cinnamon cookies while watching another X-Files episode. Last night I woke up, around midnight, with my Filipino neighbors singing karaoke in a considerable volume. They were so out of tune that I almost laughed. I suspect they were highly drunk. For tonight I will make one of the most famous Portuguese dishes, Acorda de alho(1). It's traditional from Alentejo, the region where I live. It's a very simple recipe: - Garlic - Coriander - Olive oil - Stale bread - Eggs Put everything on boiling water, and that's it. Later I might go read a book before bed. And that's all for today. ---------------------------------------------------------- (1)The "c" in "Acorda" should be a c with cedilla. I can't type it on SDF's nano editor. It creates a white space instead. Don't know why. Might have to do with the encoding. I will investigate it later.
