Yesterday I got on my Vespa and went to Aljustrel,
a mining village around 74km from where I live.

On my way there my first stop was in Santiago do Cacém.
I had an espresso there and got back on the road.

Aljustrel is a very cultural place and once there,
I visited apainting exhibition at the Oficinas de
Formacao e Animacao Cultural de Aljustrel. A cultural
space of workshops and exhibitions. After that I went
to a photography exhibition at the Centro D'Artes
(arts center).

By 12pm I visited the Ermida da Nossa Senhora do Castelo.

Along the stairs there were painted tiles representing
the crucifixion of Christ.

The view from up there was amazing. One could see the 
whole village, and the extensive Alentejo fields, going
beyond the horizon. The day was so hot, and the stairs
so long, that I started to sweat a lot and my shirt got
wet.

I had lunch and proceeded to visit the municipal museum.
Spent a good time there and learned that Aljustrel has
two Roman tablets which contain one of the oldest mining
rights of the world.

By the afternoon I returned home. Massive heat along
the road. I drank so much water after that, like I
haven't done in weeks. It was a day well spent. I just
wished I could go there more often.
            
This morning I made a decision and bought a dumb phone.
A TCL one touch 4043 flip phone. Feels good to be using
a small form phone again. One thing that I always
hated about smartphones was the size. They are too big
and uncomfortable on my pockets. I hope this TCL serves
well for my daily needs. I'm tired of smartphones.

By the way, I started watching Agent Kim Reactivated,
on Netflix, and I'm loving it.
