This is my personal favorite ambient album, Brian Eno and Harold Budd's
"Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror". This is the second installment in
Eno's legendary suite of ambient works, a followup to his critically-
acclaimed "Ambient 1: Music for Airports". While that album garners much of
the praise, I personally fell in love with the soft, minimal, meditative
passages on Ambient 2, his collaboration with Harold Budd, who would go on
to help Eno produce future albums like "The Pearl". Eno and Budd craft
atmospheric and meditative tracks like "Above Chiangmai", as well as fun,
playful passages like "An Arc of Doves". If you're looking for a relaxing,
minimalistic ambient record, this is a fantastic listen.
