Moving on... Unable to make the spell checker work (from inside a script, i.e. calling nano from inside a ksh script) I am moving on. I will do my best to correct the errors that I recognize. Recognizing errors in spelling has lead me to realize that I often "roll" two character groups, both letters and digits. This in turn prompted me to reflect on the difficulty I had as a child in reading, spelling, and most important; math. Back in the day Educators and Developmental Psychologists identified me as "hyper-active, and 'anxious'". I don't believe the formal designation, ADHD, had been fully defined as a accepted diagnosis. That combined with my "rolling" character pairs meant that I didn't have the patience or discipline to accurately double check my work, which to me seemed correct. Ironically, my step-mother, a high school English teacher, did not have the training to recognize my symptoms. My overall poor academic performance was attributed to my lack of 'paying attention' with no additional counseling or therapy. Unfortunately this 71 y/o, Medicare and under-resourced private supplimental coverage, is inelegible for either ADHD meds or sufficient therapy to significantly alter my present situation. Just another table to flip ... and move on.
