INFILTRATION

a little while ago and have been wanting to mention it here but forgot.

This site promotes a technique called Urban Exploration, which basically
involves exploring abandoned industrial areas, underground storm tunnels or
catacombs, and other obscure places.  Some of these places being explored
may be "accessed questionably" - meaning that there are physical barriers
in place that may have failed due to disrepair or the abandonment of the
building, while other areas may just be unrestricted and commonly
overlooked.

Having poked around the site a while I found it to be quite interesting. 
There's a part of me that finds a certain beauty in seeing the decay of
industrial society, and another part of me that enjoys exploring and
discovering things that no one else knows.  Putting both of these together
is an unusual yet promising conjunction.  Now I don't live in a very large
city, so I don't expect there to be many abandoned industrial areas her,
but we do have a lot of parks and ponds that I didn't know existed until I
looked on a map.
