I came across this site [ http://schoolofeverything.com/ ]
[schoolofeverything.com] today.  This is one of those things where you
wonder why it hasn't come into being earlier.

The site works as follows: you register an account and post your interests
and areas of knowledge for which you feel competent to teach.  Other people
will look up a knowledge subject and then find everyone who claims to teach
it.  Those knowledge-seekers then find out if anyone is local to their
area, and can go to those people to pick up a skill.  You can advertise
your experience as a teacher, state that you want to be compensated for
your teaching (and how much you want), and similar useful things.

Skills listed on the site include languages, different arts and crafts,
sports and games, and technical skills.

Seriously, why didn't we think of this earlier?
