CREW (Posted 2009-04-07 09:05:04 by ArchPaladin) I have been taking my breakfasts at the windowsill near my cube. Originally I wanted to do this because it affords a nice view over the Charles, and I can see the Boston skyline and watch the cars of people driving to work, or wherever they are going. Now I take my breakfast there because I can watch the crew teams practice on the river. It is a very interesting site. Long boats being rowed by individuals acting in perfect unison, like a machine. All responding to one person's instructions - at least I presume so, since I cannot hear anything as I am not actually near the river. It is a testament to the amount of coordination necessary in a team. Coordination that is sorely lacking in most areas of life. Coordination that is considerably lacking in the spiritual arena, where members of the church seem content to drift around doing their own little things. Centralized effort to help others and support one another's needs doesn't get done nearly as often as it should. We're like a crew team that decides to row in all different directions. And we wonder why we don't get anywhere. -------- There are no comments on this post.
