POWER OF QI

those who are willing to have their mind stretched.

I understand the idea of energy work in and of itself is someone unsettling
to people, and particularly many Americans, who have never encountered
anything like this before.  It's not exactly the hocus-pocus that many
skeptics would point it out to be, although you do have contingents of
frauds and strongly self-delusional people.  From personal experience I
know that energy manipulation is real, but also easy for people to have
their imaginations run away with them.

I have heard some interesting anecdotes about the power of qi, with most of
them either reducible to either (a) the practitioner is faking it, or (b)
the 'amazing power' being demonstrated reduces down to physical training
techniques that we already know about, and have just been taken to the nth
degree.  And by 'physical training techniques that we already know about',
I mean forms of energy cultivation that are generally known amongst energy
workers, or at least among certain subgroups of energy workers who are not
interested in hiding said practices.  This is of course not a sufficient
answer for those rabid skeptics who want every act of energy manipulation
to fall into the 'faking it' category.

For the material presented in the video, I know that the bottle-breaking
demonstration near the end is simple circus trick (albeit one taking some
skill), and this casts some doubt on the rest of what is presented in the
video.  However, I don't know enough about the fire starting demo to say if
that is real or not.
