LARGE RIVER, SMALL POND (Posted 2009-12-28 11:08:31 by ArchPaladin) There is a view from my cubicle at work that overlooks the Charles River (technically, I look through another cubicle out into the Charles). It is one of the better aspects of my job. The past week or so the river is frozen over in the mornings when I come in, and gradually thaws throughout the day. Today, in the small pockets of thawed water, were sitting groups of ducks all huddled together. Had I not seen a couple flap their wings and move about, I would have told you that they were frozen in the water. They rather looked like they were in a small pond in some secluded wilderness area, rather than camping out in the middle of a sluggish winter river. -------- There are no comments on this post.
