DANDELIONS & BRAIN CANCER (Posted 2010-11-02 13:31:22 by ArchPaladin) A new study has been released stating that there is a class of compounds in dandelions that lengthen the survival times of mice who have brain cancer. This class of compounds appears to specifically target aggressive cancer cells - I presume this to be the cells with the greatest rate of division. A review of the study can be found here [ http://www.happynews.com/news/1112010/scientists-discover-compound-daffodils-target-brain-cancer.htm ] [happynews.com]. I just wanted to point out that dandelions are a common Chinese herb, going by the name _Pu Gong Ying_. Their use? The reduction of abscesses and nodules. In Chinese medicine, these things are considered to be forms of stagnation and toxicity, which is the same classification used for cancer. -------- There are no comments on this post.
