FOOD SUBSTITUTIONS

I suppose as a piggyback on the last post I should also mention The Cook's
Thesaurus [ http://www.foodsubs.com/ ] [foodsubs.com], which is a simple
site designed to help you identify different types of foods and determine
what substitutions you could make in a recipe.

I'm sure experienced cooks would be able to figure this stuff out on their
own, whereas they might not have the local, in-season knowledge.  But for
someone with rudimentary cooking skills also, this is pretty neat.
