While I always thought owning a private island would be cool, renting one
might just be as much fun.

Apparently Spruce Island [ http://cgg-usa.com/aboutspruceisland.html ]
[cgg-usa.com] in Maine is available for rent, at $2500/week.  It's a
73-acre private island with one very large stone house on it.  Given enough
friends it looks like a good bargain.

I do have some vacation time coming up once I'm out of school.  Perhaps
this would be a good way to spend it.
