PULSE DIAGNOSIS NUANCES (Posted 2011-09-09 10:55:25 by ArchPaladin) One of the online acupuncture & herbal groups of which I am a member had this link [ http://www.acupuncture.com/education/diagnosis/pulsediag.htm ] [acupuncture.com] circle around it for a little while. I am linking to it here more for my retrieval benefit than anything else. It is not material I would expect non-acupuncturists to understand. The writer (James) goes into considerable nuance over pulse diagnosis - one of the most enigmatic diagnostic subjects in the acupuncture profession. It seems to me that when trying to base one's medical therapies off of classical texts you will inevitably come up against these problems - what to do with all the thorny passages in the text? I applaud James for his treatment of the subject, although at times I have to admit what value there is in trying to acquire such finely tuned skills. Does it really impact clinical outcomes that much? I suppose we all approach this medicine from different angles and find and immerse ourselves in the things that best connect us to it. -------- There are no comments on this post.
