There are chains coming out from the walls, laying across the ground unmoved in ages. The floor has an old tattered red rug atop it, and there are tapestries on the walls depicting ancient kings in battle. This tower must have been some kind of outpost back in ancient times. Combined with the loud roaring thunder and cracks of lightning, this is definitely a very chilling place. The front of the tower is situated in a clearing in the trees, and all around in a semi-circle the forest grows thick all around you. Bright eyes eye you from between the wood, leering on your every move, waiting for it to be a false one. The trees have significantly dwindled, and soon there are none left at all, just hills of faded yellow grasses and shrubs. The mist still pervades the air, eliminating your ability to see very far. As much as you can tell, the path continues along the hill, trolling up and down with the rises and falls. It is leading you up along the side of a rather large hill, which other then a few rocks and shrubs is desolate and bare, its brown face stretching out away from you disappearing into the illuminated night. Sharp rocky outgrowths block the way to the north and west, making the only direction you can travel to the east. The darkness is chilling and the lightning is incredible from up this high, streaking across the sky in its shattering brilliance. Strange shards litter the floor of the cavern, and fresh marks gouged into the ground in and around these shards help you to determine just what they are: remnants of a recently hatched egg of such enormous proportions the leathery pieces fill you with a growing dread and caution. Looking about with care, you easily discover the skeletal remains of many humanoid creatures. Incredibly large bats sit upright in the giant bushes, quite a sight indeed, they sit upright and drape their wings over themselves, peering out from over the top of the dark flesh, watching you intently, almost like a great humanoid vampire. They certainly stand tall enough to pose for one, and are quite ominous as they stand there watching the path. With every bright flash of the lightning their charcoal colored body becomes visible for an instant, but always the dark red eyes stare beneath dark matted hair blowing wildly in the wind.
