Book log: The Silmarillion

Finally got around to it, 40 years after my dad read me the Hobbit, and 30 
years after I read the Lord of the Rings. I ennjoyed the airy first few 
chapters about the creation, then the density of names and places made for 
a tougher read. From the chapter about Maeglin and on the text becomes more 
narrative and the reading more effortless. 

Heading straight into The Children of Hurin, which has been on my shelf since 
April 2007.
