One of the most surreal things about the descent into corporatocracy
and fascism is how willing a large part of society is to let it happen.
People aren't just rolling over either, they're actively inviting the
fascists to take over. LinkedIn is more deranged than ever with all the
"Elon is a genius" and "Trump knows business best" takes. It's
definitely infuriating but it's also extremely disheartening. You think
you know someone, and then you see what sort of lunacy they like on
social media.

Anyone that says that things are bad, that what is happening is scary,
is branded as "woke". And "woke" is bad. It is bad to say that societies
should be run with the interests of the people as the number one priority.
Apparently it is deranged to think that compassion is something that we
should be leading with. No, if you think like this, you are a silly child
who does not understand the realities of life. You don't know what the
businessmen and entrepreneurs know; they're the true leaders of society.

Everything is being commoditized. Everybody is a consumer. We are no
longer citizens. We are consumers; customers. I fucking hate it. I FUCKING
HATE IT.
