Sigh... again some mess to clear up... it turned out that
my dad during his time with his heart condition clouding
his mind about two years ago did some rather... unlucky 
financial decission that lead to two rather hefty bills
not getting settled which manifested itself now in the
garnishment of my parents bank account.

Well, luckily my mom's name showed up nowhere on the papers
so she was able to get her own bank account quickly so that
she will be able to have her pension paid out. This will 
give us time to sort everything out and get the bank 
account of my dad turned into something that is called here
in germany a "Pfaendungsschutzkonto", an account that is 
protected from garnishment (its a bit more complicated, but
what is not in germany?) so that he will be able to at least
pay for the retirement home he is now living in.

In addition to that problem our basement is slowly but 
steadily flooding now... 

Man, what would i like myself some boring time again...

On a more positive note: Our local chimney sweeper (yearly
inspections by him are mandatory in germany) had a good 
idea for somewhat modernizing the heating in our home. He
pointed us to a pellet oven that would perfectly fit with
the chimney and the needed heating for the old house but 
would reduce costs massively. We now have researched the 
topic some time and we think that this would be a good idea
so we sheduled a new appointment with him.


I still had no time to really investigate the cause
of the sudden death of the DevTerm, but for some reason the
RiscV core now is alive again after i tried it last 
weekend?!? Well, whatever... i hope there will be some time
soon to look into it.

To keep a bit of sanity i tried out the GopherVR client 
recently and to be honest: I really liked it. Its a nice
departure from the somewhat antiquated looks of gopher into
an alternate future we couldn't have...

Regarding my goal of sticking to the somewhat "smol net" 
for july i absolutely failed. I still gravitate towards 
Reddit / Lemmy and seek pointless arguments with strangers,
something that i absolutely have to stop.
