This is a simple awesome dish You can eat them with white rice or mashed potatoes Very yummy and wholesome Recipe 5lbs beef shoulder 2 cups chopped onions Salt and pepper 1 quart water or old school beef stock Season beef with salt and pepper brown in skillet with vegetable oil After browning add beef to roasting pot and add onions to same skillet as beef and brown onions also Remove onions and pour over beef in pot Add 3 tablespoons flour to remaining oil in skillet and brown slightly Add 1 quart of water or beef stock to skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes Pour liquid over beef and onions in pot and cover Place in 350 degree oven and cook for 3 hours Remove from oven and add carrots and cook an additional 1 hours ENJOY OVER WHITE RICE OR MASHED POTATOES OLD SCHOOL BRAISED CABBAGE this is a item I can just eat alone without anything else on the plate Just give me a bowl of cabbage and some cornbread and I'm HAPPY HAPPY Recipe 1 large cabbage sliced 1/2 chopped onions 1/2 cup white vinegar 1/2 pound chopped bacon 1 quart water or old school chicken stock
