ABOUT THIS GOPHERHOLE

By day, I am a self-employed freelance writer and SEO consultant and
have been for nearly 20 years.

By night, though, I'm pretty ticked about what the web has become. 
I'm tired of AI being forced down our throats whether we like it or
not. Tired of AI slop replacing human-written content. Tired of Google
doing their darnedest to get rid of the 10 blue links and keep people
viewing ads as long as possible. 

I like to consume my content the old-fashioned way -- all text, no ads
and no tracking. I rediscovered gopher and absolutely fell in love with
it. That led to me wondering if I might enjoy putting together a
gopherhole myself, and here we are.

Will anyone read it? Will anyone engage with it? Do those things even
matter? I'm about to find out.
