My wife had various functions she had to attend, I was on home patrol, shuttling children around, making food etc. Our evening activities included a get together with four other couples at a friends house. It was to a typical couples gathering with good food, good drinks, and good conversation. As a bonus I was told we would all be playing the Newlywed Game. Our friends had printed out 26 pages (double sided) of questions asked on the old Newlywed Game on TV. Questions were either for the man or the woman to answer. Now we all have been married for a long time, average time would be around 18 years, with some like use almost at 25. Let me just say that the game was way more fun than I expected. How the game is played is this: * Decide who will answer questions first (men or woman) * Group not selected goes in the other room to wait (drink/eat) * Six questions are chosen at random, group provides the answer they think their partner will give * Answer guessing group comes in and tries to guess their partners answer * Correct answers get 1 point * Next round the group of people answering questions switches * Repeat however many rounds you are interested in playing Now you might think that people married a long time would be able to get all the answers right, and in many cases that was the case. But in much more than I thought, the sheer amount of time we have been married exponetially increased the potential answers! Their was a lot of laughter at the answers and the opposing couple reactions. If you are looking for a couple party game when there aren't any children around, definitely give this some consideration. Lastly, just wanted to give a shout out to jebug29@SDF.ORG! jebug29@SDF.ORG sent me an email letting me know that he/she was enjoying this phlog. I just want to repeat what I said in my email reply -- Thank you so much! With as obscure as gopher is, I think a lot of people, myself included feel like their content is mostly there for their own enjoyment or documentation. It's really great to get an outside wave now and then. Thanks again! Time for sleep, take care gopherians. -Snowcrash ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
