Well I ended up taking a sick day today, I woke up with a slight fever, and felt like shit. It didn't take much to convince me to take a sick day. My body needed rest and by noon my fever was gone. As someone who suffers from sleep apnea, and who religiously treats it with a CPAP, I wonder sometimes if I still suffer from some kind of reduced sleep deficit. That is to say, if the CPAP covers 99% of the apnea, if there is a 1% that slowly builds over time. I'm not sure, its just a guess. But I feel better now, so all is good. And it happens to be Valentine's day, so that means a steak dinner tonight. This is one of those holidays that doesn't get a lot of hooplah in our house. We buy some chocolate for the kids, I buy my wife a card, she buys me a card, I get the kids a card to give them, that's about it. And I have to say that I am 100% okay with that. From October to January we get hit with non-stop holidays and it just gets old in my opinion, or maybe old isn't the best term. Watered down? Common? You get the idea, by the end of January I think everyone is just tired of another holiday. And yet Valentine's day is a big deal for the young, and maybe some of the old. To us it's an excuse to have a great dinner with family, and I am really okay with that. -Snowcrash ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
