November 8th: Not much to report, everything's pretty much status quo here. My 20" wheel and 14t freewheel have both arrived. I installed the freewheel onto the hub, but it looks as though I'll need to install a spacer on the axle, otherwise the freewheel will rub against the frame. Plenty on eBay but I'd rather buy locally. I've ordered a couple of rolls of rim tape for the 20" wheels, as I was unable to source locally. Just for fun, I put the wheel on my wheel truing stand, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the stand will accomodate a 20" wheel. Thankfully, the wheel was in true, so no adjustments needed on my part! (This is also how I discovered that I needed a spacer on the rear wheel) Computer-wise, things are picking up. Winter is upon us here in Winnipeg, and as such my bike-riding season is over. I've spent a little time rebuilding and restocking my Powerbook Lombard (running both Mac OS 9.2.2. and OS X Panther 10.3.9) with software, and am hoping to use it as a daily driver when possible. I have also (finally) upgraded my Tadpole-RDI Voyager-II server with a 440MHz UltraSparc IIi processor ripped from a Sun Ultra 5 workstation. I'm rather excited about having my file server up and running again, especially in an improved state. It'll save sneakernetting everything to my various retro-machines. That's it for today, I have a long day of work ahead of me.
