February 6th, 2018:

	That was a great long weekend!  Sunday was my birthday (45), so to 
celebrate I booked yesterday off work, so I could enjoy a little extra 
time with the family.  My mother-in-law took us out for pizza on Saturday, 
and my parents invited us over for dinner on Sunday.  Good times.

Most of my spare time was spent pissing around on SDF, mostly on Mastodon 
and the Usenet, with a little time spared for reading the bboard.  It 
seems I've made a couple of new friends on Mastodon, both "local" SDFers 
and on the federated timeline.  Really should start hanging out on com, 
irc, and Jabber, too.  I'm usually up for a conversation.

I'm kinda getting into Mastodon, it's certainly a different vibe from the 
other social media environments (as I mentioned before), and I find myself 
using Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ a lot less.  But... we'll see how I 
feel about Mastodon after a month, once the honeymoon period is over.
