March 6th, 2018:

	No update yesterday, as I was largely bedridden due to sinus 
infection.  I'm still not 100%, but I'm well enough to answer phones and 
enter orders at work.  I'm not normally one for presenteeism, but I'm not 
contagious and going to work won't adversely affect my health.  Besides, 
it'll be nice to concentrate on work rather than sinus pain.

As one would expect, I didn't do much yesterday apart from lay in bed.  I 
*did* manage to get in a few rounds of Fatal Labyrinth for the Sega 
Genesis (or in my case, my Sega Nomad portable).  Ever play Fatal 
Labyrinth?  It's a nice little Rogue clone that I've grown to enjoy, 
despite not being particularily well rated.  I suppose if you didn't grow 
up playing Rogue (or Hack/NetHack, etc) you might not appreciate the game.

Another Rogue-like game I like is Dragon Crystal for the Sega Game Gear.  
It has an extra component in the form of a dragon egg that follows you 
around throughout the game, eventually hatching into a dragon, who grows 
as your levels progress.  Never *did* get far in that game, perhaps it's 
time I fixed my Game Gear...

Apparently Dragon Crystal was released on the Sega Master System as well, 
might have a look for that one next time I'm shopping for video games (not 
normally an emulator fan).

On the bike front, I had a bit of time over the weekend to work on Felix, 
my folding bike project.  I installed the rear wheel assembly I'd put 
together a few weeks ago, installed the new cotter into the left crank, 
and the bike is rolling again!  Well, almost.  I need to shorten the chain 
and re-tension it, and will also need to fix/replace the old Thompson 
bottom bracket before taking Felix out for his inaugural spin.

Computer-wise, I'm going to be giving my Sparcstations a little love in 
the coming weeks.  I found a seller on eBay who hacks the old IDPROM/NVRAM 
chips used in the old Sun4c machines with coin-cell batteries, so I'll be 
picking up a pair for my Sparc IPC and IPX machines.

Also, I found another seller offering a tested & working Sparcserver 20 
mainboard, so I'll be picking THAT up, too.  It'll be nice to have my 
32-bit Sun systems up and running again.

Looks like I'll be busy in the coming months!
