March 9th, 2018: Damn it, phlogosphere, you have me wanting to give troff a try. I typically use pico or vi when writing in a Unix-like environment, as they are what I'm used to using. However, I'm always willing to try new things, especially when it's something esoteric. I also like the fact that troff is a bit older than I am (with origins even older than that), and has been ported (and changed, adapted, etc) to many other systems as well. This weekend's project will be to dig out one of my systems out of the basement to see if I already have troff or one of its descendents (ditroff, groff, et cetera) installed, then to check my ever-growing library of books to see if I have one on troff. Then... I'll give it a shot.
