March 27th, 2018: As you may have seen on Mastodon last night, I received my Lucky Cat bottle cage and bottle kit from Portland Design Works[1] in the mail. I fell in love with the bottle cage the first time I saw it advertised, and *HAD* to have it! Unfortunately, my local bike shops kept selling out, so I bit the bullet and ordered direct from PDW. I'm not normally one for cutesy stuff, but the Lucky Cat cage matched my folding bike's white and red colour scheme perfectly. I've long been a fan of Japanese culture as well, and have always liked the Maneki Neko. And frankly, I could use a bit of luck as far as this bike is concerned... I figure I have another month until I'm able to ride, so I'd like to finish this bike build soon. I still have to fix the odd Thompson bottom bracket (or have it fixed), which may be an issue if replacement parts are not available. I also have to replace the front brakes, but that's an easy (and cheap) fix. I'm rather excited at the prospect of getting my folding bike on the road, mostly because it's the first bike I've built up this much. I've also left room for further customization if I like the way it rides... but that's a story for another time. References: [1] https://ridepdw.com/collections/urban-commuting/products/lucky-cat-cage
