March 1st, 2020: My Compaq Presario 2100 went POP today, killing my only OpenBSD machine. I'm a little upset, as I had it running exactly how I wanted, which took a long time to do. Many, many hours were spent manually editing and tweaking dotfiles and configuration files to get it to that point, and frankly I'm not keen on doing it all over again on a new machine. It's just as well. Spring is around the corner, and most of my spare time will be spent tuning up and maintaining my bikes for the first few weeks (and riding after that). I'm looking forward to riding out to our favourite independent shops, the organic food coop, and bakery along our favourite strip as often as is practical this year. Kinda bummed that Neighbourhood Bookstore & Cafe closed a couple of years ago, it was a great spot in a quiet, beautiful neighbourhood, and well worth the half-hour ride to get there. Really can't wait for warmer weather so I can get back out there. I suspect my Pixelfed accounts are going to see a lot of activity this year!
