January 6th, 2023:

Quiet night at home last night.  I forgot to bring the iBook G4 home when 
I left work, so no updates on that front.  Instead, I spent quality time 
in the living room with Rachel and Astrid.  I spent most of my time 
browsing Drive-Thru RPG's "New Year New Game" sale, getting halfway 
through the list without anything seriously catching my eye.

I'm not really in the market for a new RPG system (God knows I have enough 
of them already), but it's nice to browse for ideas.  I've also been 
watching for the Genesys supplement Embers of the Imperium as it's 
supposed to come out Any Day Now, last I heard.  I'm not exactly starving 
for another space opera setting, but I do want to support Genesys to 
ensure more titles in the future.  It's an interesting system with a great 
narrative dice gimmick (based on their Star Wars RPG dice) I've grown to 
like.  Won't go into details just now, as I'm not in the mood for further 
exposition.

With that in mind, tonight's plan is to get everything ready for a bit of 
RPGing tomorrow and/or Sunday.  I'm keen to get in some BECMI or GURPS 
time, even if it's just designing or mapping.
