July 1st, 2023: It's true, I've updated the site! Work and life have been busy since early January, and my various internet projects have been a very low priority. So have my bike projects (I've overhauled one bike of the five) and various other hobby projects as well. My Amiga 4000 project is on the backburner again. Haven't had the time or inclination, really. I still have to send it out for a recap, repair, and upgrade, which I'm hoping to do soon. It would have been nice to have used it in the upcoming Old Computer Challenge starting July 10th, but there won't be enough time to ship it out, have it shipped back, and build the thing up from scratch again before July 10th. Speaking of the Old Computer Challenge, I'm going to take part this year after skipping last year. I'm not certain which old computer I'm going to use yet, I'll probably select from my usual suspects... at least, one of the ones that still works. I'm also going to see it through this time. As I recall, I'd used my Powerbook 5300 in the first Old Computer Challenge, and either got busy or lost interest after the second day. I suppose the trick is to find a way to challenge myself. Most of my old computers, especially my old Powerbooks, were my daily drivers for years and can do pretty much everything I need to do with only a couple of exceptions (ever try browsing on a 100MHz PPC Mac nowadays?). The trick will be to keep things interesting, or I'll get bored. Time to make a plan, I guess.
