I fell off the wagon; the STEM monkey devil is on my back again. Considering that I'm running BSD, perhaps the more appropriate 
term is daemon. It started with my friend Franklin, KB1QZH. Those of you who do POTA in the Northeast might recognize the call 
as he is a fairly active activator. Frank texted me last weekend looking asking about Black Rock State Park for a POTA 
activation. Black Rock would have been crowded, so I sent him to nearby Mohawk Mountain State Park about 30 minutes away. I 
have an HF rig set up with a ~75' longwire and counterpoise hooked up via an antenna coupler to my HF rig; until recently was 
using it for SWL and not really QRV. Last Saturday I transmitted on HF for the first time in a year or two, worked KB1QZH, 
8 other POTA activators on 40m SSB as far away as Michigan, and a DX station from Brazil on 10m. That's what started it all. 

Later on in the week I was talking with my life partner, we both go to SNHU (she's working on her MA), and we were discussing 
school. Recent events with the current administration had us considering alterting our higher education paths slightly. I was 
working on a BA in PoliSci with an eventual goal of getting a JD. When I was working on my associates I took a few computer 
classes the last time the STEM daemon was sitting on my shoulder, and was considering an AS in Information Systems. Worked out 
that the computer classes were also perfectly usable as free electives for my AA degree, and also accepted at SNHU along with 
my GIS stuff from CWC. Did one of those "what if" evaluations, and found out that with all those computer classes I was a 
little bit closer towards a BS in Computer Science than I with an AS in Political Science. Both are perfectly fine for law 
school, and the chances of an interim decent paying job with a BS in Computer Science is a bit bettter than with a BA in 
Political Science. Called my advisor, put in for a change of program, and since I was going back into STEM decided I might as 
well go full derp and added a concentration in Information Security.
