kagu-tsuchi posted a few days ago about returning to a dot 
matrix printer[1]. Fond memories of 80s computing, for me, 
all include a dot matrix printer. I have one in a box in the 
garage, dormant mostly because it doesn't have a serial 
interface (well, it has an optional one that I mean to buy 
at some point) and the project I wish to use it with is a 
z80 SBC with serial...

Still, I could break it out and fiddle with it! I can 
definitely see the appeal over inkjet, but it's a harder 
sell when compared with laser (at least for me.) No matter, 
I'm going to do it, just for kicks, and so that kagu-tsuchi 
doesn't have to go it alone.
