Technology/Content Purge, (sdf.org), 02/11/2019 ------------------------------------------------------------ Every so often the compulsion to purge my digital life crops up. Spring cleaning might be analagous. Something inside me says, "it's time to clean house," and I get twitchy. When I used FB, purging felt awesome. Every time I deleted old content, it was wonderful, and the day I deleted the last remaining vestiges was a day of rejoicing. I was free, and the world was beautiful. Gopher doesn't present the same problems as FB did. It's not a place that I'm ashamed to be a part of. My content is not perfect, nor does it always reflect who I am right now, but I enjoy having it out there. I don't want to purge it, the way I wanted to purge FB content. The question is, what do I do with this energy?
