# About me

My name (online, at least) is Thalass. I was born in Australia in '83. I currently live in Canada. 
I enjoy making things, and fixing things. I fix aircraft for a living, and I'm an extremely amateur coder. Mostly python/circuitpython. 
I'm a native english speaker, and I'm learning Esperanto and Dutch on Duolingo (alternating a few months of one and then a few months of another). I would like to learn both Noongar (the language of the place I was born) and Ojibwe (the language of the place I live today). Even if it's the basic polite yes/no please/thank you, etc. 
I am your generic cishet athiest white boy linux nerd. But I try to not be a jerk and I enjoy the company of people who are not just like me. Whether that's gender expression, race, religion, whatever. In my experience most people just want to live in peace, which is fine by me. 

I really love to fix things. Machinery and electronics, sure, but also "fix" my backyard by weeding (damned ground ivy) or other loosely related concepts like it. I am really into Solarpunk. I only learned that word a few years ago, but I have always had what I thought were opposite interests in both tech and the environment. But with care both can work together. Just gotta get rid of that capitalism thing. 

I am in an old fasioned gaming clan. Mostly we hang out in TF2 on friday nights. We can be found at fith.co or in the server browser as FITH, I believe.
