   Of course not. This is just a poorly written lede. An alternate
   suggestion:

   "Apple announced today that personal assistant Siri was updated with
   sports support in Brazil, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Malaysia, Turkey,
   Saudi Arabia, and Israel in advance of the World Cup."
