# Supergirl

Saw Supergirl last night.  Not normally
a superhero movie person, but I have
unlimited tickets at my local cinema so
I try and go to see as much as I can.

Overall, enjoyed it more than the sickly
sweet Superman film.  The two leads were
rather good--much better than Jason
Mamoa and whoever played the main
baddie.  My favourite performance came
from "that guy from Numb3rs", David
Krumholtz, as Supergirl's dad.

Other things grated on me.  Like the
recent Mandalorian film, I can't get
into this film's idea of space.  It's an
amalgam of stuff thrown together:
cassette futurism, cyberpunk, sword and
sorcery fantasy, 90s nostalgia.  It does
nothing for me.  I don't want to watch
another film where people drive
spaceships through inter-dimensional
wormholes and fight with swords.
