mostly it's a client issue; gem clients other than
lagrange don't appear to smoothly hand off to alt
clients for things like photos, etc.

@0fe205dc actually gopher can do way more than
gemini. There is now TLS support on some servers
and clients and if you really need pretty text you
can serve PDF or html files.
