Self-hosting it is

I posted a few times already how the desire to self-host keeps
knocking at my door from time to time. Usually I remind myself of the
pain and additional headache, then give up.
I'm on a family holiday this week and I guess being far away from the
usual stresses of work reduced my sensibility. The FeedWrangler
outage disrupted my usual RSS reading routine and the ghost of
self-hosting came to visit.
So I ordered a server, installed Debian, made some basic config
changes and started running Miniflux. I don't think I'll switch my
other content to this machine, except this gopherhole maybe.
