# Under 85 Another work week is over and I am just below 85 kg (84.9 as the scale told me yesterday). We had no quarantine as seemingly no one bothers. OK, my wife's coworker tested negative after her husband contracted corona, but even if she'd tested positive the others could just go to work as usual. We are full of stupid inconsistent illogical rules. Yesterday there were over 140000 new cases - as they always advertise in every media, but no one mentions the hospitalization rate that dropped below 3. And of course even less people land in ICU. But these low numbers do not sound frightening and cannot be used to further intimidate the people. I do not want another shot with a vaccine that performs less than mediocre against omicron. And I do not want to be forced to do it. Austria forces everyone to get vaccinated, although there is a resolution against this by the Council of Europe: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/E-9-2021-004802_EN.html ----- At work I may get a new project in a domain I do not know, using tools I do not know. I told them my concerns about this and that I am not in as long as I do not get a proper training first. Let's see what happens. This week I did not learn Latin and did nothing about my small software projects at home. Shame on me. But at least I was in the office and met my coworkers. I do love the atmosphere at our workplace, so many cool colleagues. Have a nice weekend.
