# Birds

Yesterday I received the email that my Duolingo account and personal
data had been deleted. I'm done with the owl and already got my Czech
book.

On twitter I saw that a lot of people are dissatisfied with the
Duolingo update, just look at #duolingoupdate. And many can't let go,
maintaining their streak of using the app every single day is probably
more important to them than actual learning. The mind tricks with
streaks, leagues, competition, who has the most XP, gems, etc. is not
really helpful when learning a language.

And now twitter users flock to mastodon, because of Musk and what he's
doing to the platform. Seriously I do not really care. Will he burn
twitter to the ground? So what? I have never been really active there.

I ordered my 2023 Sumo Calendar and today the Kyushu Basho kicked off.

I'm not really looking forward to working again tomorrow.
And I have to take the car to the annual inspection. I don't like such
interruptions during a work day as they massively disrupt my focus.
