In different parts of the world, builders and miners periodically discover strange voids clearly not of natural origin. This is the second part of my material dedicated to systematizing research on the theory of underground tunnels of unknown civilizations. Here, additional facts are collected that you may have never heard of, and I did not include in the previous post because the text was already voluminous. 1. Underground Portals Legends about entrances to other worlds, hidden deep within the Earth's interior, have persisted through the ages. But what if this is not just metaphor? What if, at certain points on the planet, the boundary between our world and what lies beneath becomes ghostly thin, or even disappears altogether? Siberia. Chertova Polyana. The history of this place, lost in the Krasnoyarsk taiga, begins in 1908 - the year marked by the greatest celestial mystery, the Tunguska Event. While all eyes were turned to the sky, shepherds from nearby villages discovered something no less alarming on the ground: a patch of scorched earth with a gaping, bottomless hole in the middle. It was not just a pit; it was a predator. Livestock vanished there without a trace, and even moving the road several kilometers did not help - animals continued to disappear precisely in the area of the cursed clearing. In the late 1920s, the ill-fated site attracted the interest of zootechnician Nikolai Semenchenko. Armed with a long cord with a weight, he attempted to measure the depth of the collapse. Dozens of meters of rope disappeared into the darkness, but he never reached the bottom. The researcher was struck by another detail: the deadly influence of the clearing was strictly localized. Its "breath," lethal to all living things, was felt only in the immediate vicinity of the hole, where the earth was strewn with the bodies of dead birds. World War II long erased the clearing from human memory. It was rediscovered only in 1984 by an expedition led by Soviet researcher A. Rempel. What they found there defied common sense. Compass needles, confused, stubbornly pointed not north but toward the center of the ominous clearing. Devices measuring electromagnetic radiation went off the charts, as if in a trance. But even more frightening was the effect on people. Even at a distance, researchers were seized by inexplicable animal fear. As they approached the anomaly, members of the expedition inexplicably suffered from toothaches and joint swelling. The work had to be hurriedly abandoned, and they barely escaped from the deadly site. USA. Lyons Falls. Similar stories occurred in the New World. Residents of Lyons Falls, on the bank of the Black River, tell of periodically opening "doors" in the ground. And of a creature that appears afterward. A worker at a local paper mill, face-to-face with a monster, described it as a dark brown being with a round, conical body, emitting a smell of sulfur. Its eyes, according to the man, sparkled like silver dollars. Police repeatedly tried to catch the phantom beast with nets, but they passed right through it as if it were from air. Tajikistan. Vakhsh River. Another well-known portal is located on the bank of the Vakhsh River. Local residents believe that beneath an ancient burial mound, attributed to Alexander the Great's soldiers, there is an entrance to a fiery underground kingdom. Through it, evil spirits seep to the surface, sometimes taking the form of a devilish dog that appears on the top of the mound surrounded by a black glow and spreading a suffocating sulfur smell. Mongology. In 1993, research by Mongolian geologists about strange columns in the Gobi Desert was published. Local nomads avoided the area where, at dawn, a rumble was heard from underground, resembling the movement of countless wagons. In the 1980s, geologists conducting reconnaissance discovered a network of perfectly round vertical shafts descending to unknown depths, with walls seemingly melted as if from enormous heat. The hypothesis was proposed that these are not mines but "exits of the atmosphere" from underground cavities, and that the "stone caravan" is an acoustic echo of processes occurring within vast subterranean voids. As always, this information was ignored by science as "local folklore multiplied by wind erosion." Ukraine. In old Ukrainian magazines dedicated to local regional news, incidents with loggers near Mount Pikuy are often were described. Allegedly, they found a crack in the rock from which warm air with an ozone smell emanated. One man, peering inside with a flashlight, shouted that he saw shadows in the fog and heard the hum of vibrating mechanisms. He was pulled out in a panic. When he returned with a group of police and rescuers two days later, they found the entrance carefully blocked with freshly cut tree trunks, as if cut with a knife, although no stumps were around. Local elders said that "the world under the mountain closed," and no one had found it since. The story was dismissed as mass hallucination or a prank, and it circulated from newspaper to newspaper. These scattered testimonies collected worldwide paint an intriguing picture. Anomalous voids in the earth are not just "places of power." They are potential contact points, like cracks in reality, through which something or someone penetrates into our world. Indeed, there are many more such accounts than I can describe in this note. 2. The Soviet Trace The hypothesis of an underground world would be incomplete without mentioning direct attempts by Soviet scientists to peer into the Earth's depths. The most prominent example is the Kola Superdeep Borehole, the deepest artificial entry into the Earth. As a strictly scientific Soviet project, it generated many mysteries. At about 12 kilometers depth, drillers encountered an inexplicable phenomenon: microphones lowered into the borehole recorded sounds resembling human screams and groans, which journalists immediately dubbed "the voice from the underworld." Scientists offered more prosaic explanations - from tectonic plate movements to drilling noise - but the mysterious aura around the borehole only intensified. This project vividly demonstrated how little we know about what happens even at relatively shallow depths by planetary standards. In the mid-1990s, there were reports of a secret Soviet project called Glubina-3M, studying acoustic anomalies in Ural and Siberian mines. According to these rumors, equipment detected rhythmic low-frequency signals coming from depths over 5 km, deciphered as simple mathematical sequences. These were linked to legends of "underground Shambhala," and other rumors claimed that in 1979, a group of GRU officers, working undercover, tried to find a geological coordinate in a Tibetan gorge from which identical signals emanated. I consider such events plausible, as Soviet authorities resumed active study of anomalous phenomena from the late 1970s after a long hiatus. There is also an incident from 1951. During Stalin's era, prisoners in a Gulag discovered a shaft of "Mine of Silence" Vorkuta. Prisoners digging a gallery encountered a wall of black metal. At night, several guards descended with oxygen tanks and chisels, but by morning the tunnel was sealed and the entrances blown up. The cause was a flash of some underground light that blinded the guards, after which they died from an unknown disease. This episode is sometimes mentioned in theories about Soviet searches for ancient Arctic anomalies. 3. Folk Legends No less important are detailed accounts from indigenous peoples of the Far North. The Nenets legends about Sihirt (or Sirt), are not just abstract myths but part of their historical memory. They describe them as a real, physically existing people of small stature who lived in caves ("peu-mya") before the Nenets arrived, coming to the surface only at night and secretly using their hunting tools. The Sihirt were considered skilled blacksmiths and shamans and encounters with them were quite material. It is significant that the Nenets clearly distinguished them from spirits, considering them part of the living world but of a different tribe. These stories find an astonishing continuation much further south, in the Ural Mountains. In the early 20th century, ethnographers recorded tales of "div'yi lyudi" - small, incredibly beautiful inhabitants of the Ural mountains who emerged from caves. According to these accounts, the div'yi lyudi possessed "the greatest culture" and light in their underground dwellings "no worse than the sun." They came out to chosen individuals to deliver important messages and predict the future, but an ordinary "unworthy" person could neither see nor hear them. These stories, recorded in the 1920s, are striking in their specificity and similarity to Nenets legends, depicting a secretive, highly developed underground culture existing parallel to our own. Thus, direct evidence of penetrating into the Earth's crust and a rich layer of oral traditions from various peoples - from the Far North to the Urals - intertwine, pointing to one and the same possibility: we are not alone on this planet, and our most unexplored territories are not in space, but right beneath our feet. Such testimonies compel serious reflection. The existence of large underground structures like the multi-kilometer-long Derinkuyu underground city in Turkey (capable of housing up to 10,000 people) proves that living underground on a large scale is technically feasible. 4. Inhabitants of the Abyss: Who Are They? The most important question: who could live in these conditions? Using Soviet biolocation systems within the framework of the "Setka" program, a discovery was made. At a depth of about 200 kilometers, there is a probable zone of intelligent life. Imagining a protein-based human in conditions where stone melts and pressure could crush a steel sphere is impossible. But does intelligence necessarily have to be protein-based? Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, contemplating humanity's distant future, hypothesized that over time, humans would evolve into energy-information entities capable of directly perceiving the energy of stars and planets. Such beings could comfortably exist in Earth's fiery depths. But these are just my thoughts for now. Where did they come from? There is a hypothesis that life in intelligent form did not originate on Earth. Initially - on the planet Phaethon (now an asteroid belt), then transferred to Mars. When these worlds became uninhabitable, the more ancient energy entities chose to retreat into the depths of Earth, founding new civilizations there. "Doomed places" and "bottomless pits" are, in fact, "service hatches" made by the planet's internal energy, through which inhabitants of the underground world occasionally make contact or secretly observe us. 5. Theories and Facts To this day, not all scientists agree with the theory of the central fire, which once held sway in the scientific community. According to this theory, the substance of Earth's core and mantle is in a molten state, and the temperature increases by one degree every 33 meters as one descends. There are also notable supporters of the theory held by the renowned naturalist and occultist of the 17th century, Athanasius Kircher, who believed that the Earth is a solid body containing vast voids connected by transcontinental channels and filled ith water, air, and fire. It is this theory, along with the closely related theory of John Woodward, that has recently gained increasing confirmation. According to geologists, there is more water underground (as I previously wrote about in an article on nuclear tests) than in the entire World Ocean, and not all of it is in a bound state; that is, only part of the water is incorporated into minerals and rocks. To date, underground seas, lakes, and rivers have been discovered. It has been hypothesized that the waters of the World Ocean are connected to an underground water system, and consequently, there is not only a circulation and exchange of water between them but also an exchange of biological species and forms. Moreover, scientists have discovered certain plants capable of photosynthesis (i.e., releasing oxygen while simultaneously absorbing carbon dioxide) in complete darkness. Therefore, it is not excluded that the Loch Ness Monster, as well as other monsters, whose sightings regularly appear in the press, are representatives of relict fauna, constantly inhabiting underground seas and accidentally coming into human view. All these facts not only do not disprove but, on the contrary, prove the possibility of the existence of a parallel anthropomorphic civilization within the Earth's depths, whose technological level far exceeds that of humans. For various reasons, they persistently avoid encounters with us, and so far, they have successfully done so. Therefore, we should not rush to dismiss myths about underground journeys as children's fairy tales, nor should we consider modern evidence and archaeological finds as mere fabrications. 6. Conclusions Why do these possible neighbors on our planet avoid open contact? The reasons can vary-from religious prohibitions to biological necessity. Many legends mention that underground inhabitants cannot tolerate sunlight or are highly vulnerable to injuries. This may not be just metaphorical but an indication of a rare genetic anomaly-extreme photophobia or a biological trait where exposure to daylight or contact with humans becomes deadly. In an isolated population, such traits could have become fixed, making life on the surface impossible. Thus, the theory of the existence of an advanced underground civilization or civilizations ceases to be a marginal fantasy. It is based on a whole layer of corroborating data-from ancient myths and medieval chronicles to modern reports by geologists and witnesses of anomalous phenomena. We know zatastrophically little about the bowels of our planet. And it is quite possible that the most grand discoveries await us not in distant space but literally beneath our feet in the impenetrable darkness of tunnels leading into the unknown or to places we do not understand...
