Even current news causes concern for the mental state
of those who publish it. If in the 70s and 90s of the 20th
century, launching a rocket or returning astronauts to Earth
was routine. Today it is presented as an incredible achievement
of civilization. I get the feeling that Murphy's laws should
have been read like a book of fulfilled prophecies for a long
time. After all, looking at the scandal in the "White House"
caused by the use of a smartphone and the messenger "Signal"
for correspondence related to the category of national security.
One gets the impression that one of Murphy's laws, which
states that "in hierarchy, a person rises to the level of his
incompetence," is prophetic. Because today the United States
is run by incompetent fake conservatives who worked as "New
York real estate developers", whose level of understanding
of the world turned out to be no higher than speculative
transactions and adding "the wrong" people to Signal.
But what can we talk about if all this is also part of the
symptom of mass stupefaction. And the powerful, of course,
are no exception. How else can we evaluate the actions
of people who are cramming AI into all devices, mass
communication media, and even industrial facilities and cars?
The Arc Prize Foundation conducted its own AI test for
the level of "general intelligence". It turned out that, at best,
the most advanced AI model is able to solve only 1.3%
of logical puzzles, while humans solve an average of 60%.
That is, in simple terms, someone entrusts their life, security,
home management, information, and so on to a system whose
level of development is worse than the intelligence of a moron.
Ask yourself, would you put such a person behind the wheel?
Would you trust him with an industrial equipment? Of course
not. But this is exactly what is happening everywhere today.
