Since 1996, I've been a big, big fan of professional wrestling. I've seen every WWF(Now WWE) show and Pay-Per-View event since. I got this game in 2003, and it's grown on me. Here it is- my WWF RAW FAQ. It's a hella old game on a system you shouldn't be playing anyway, but I don't care, and neither do you. Wrestler movelists and stats are here, so enjoy punks. -Version history 01/01/06- Happy new year! Made some big corrections, including spelling errors. 31/05/05- Whee. Made some minor changes including layout fixes, corrections on spelling mistakes, and rewriting some shiznit. 31/07/04- Made some layout fixes. 29/11/03- Minor changes to the wrestlers section. 18/11/03- WWF RAW FAQ is finished. -Getting started Make sure your GameGear is switched off, then insert your WWF RAW cartridge. Now switch on your GameGear. -Basic information All wrestling games, basically have a specific few rules. Both wrestlers are in the ring, and use a arsenal of different moves, attacks, generally wearing your opponent down to pin them. Most wrestlers in the business today have a finishing move- like a final wish before the pin. Or, a finishing hold- a painful hold that will make your opponent submit like a bitch. -Controls MENU CONTROLS D pad: Move around menus Start button: Confirm IN GAME CONTROLS (Anywhere) Start button: Pause (Tie up) 1 button: Slam 2 button: Big Headbutt 1+2 button: Vertical Suplex D pad Up: Backbreaker D pad Down: Hiptoss (While opponent is standing) 1 button: Punch 2 button: Kick D pad Up/Down/Left/Right: Walk Up/Down/Left/Right 1+2 button: Tie up with opponent Left/Right twice quickly: Run into the ropes (While opponent is on the mat) 1/2 button: Splash 1+2 button: Pin 1+2 button: Pick up opponent by head(Stand by head) 1 button: Elbow Drop(Stand by head) 2 button: Leg Drop(Stand by head) (While you are running) 1 button: Drop Kick(If opponent is standing) 1 button: Running Elbow Drop(If opponent is on the mat) (While opponent is running) 1 button: Drop Kick (While you are on the top rope) 1 button: Frog Splash -Game modes ONE ON ONE MATCHES There are three types of one on one matches. 'One Fall', which is a classic fight 'till you win via pinfall. 'Tournament Mode' is a battle tower 'Mortal Kombat' thing- you wrestle your way up the tower, defeating lots of other superstars along the way. 'Brawl' is the match for hardcore players- No Holds Barred*! TAG TEAM MATCHES In this mode, you pick two wrestlers to tag in and tag out. You can see your other wrestlers strength by pausing the game. 'One Fall' is a tag team match were the team with one pinfall wins the match up. Tournament Mode is again simply work your way up the tower 'till you get the WWF World Tag Team Championships. 'Brawl' is a tag match with No Holds Barred*, however since you can't control, two wrestlers at the same time, you can't have all wrestlers in the ring at the same time. Bummer. SURVIVOR SERIES MATCHES This is a game mode based on that great WWE/WWF Pay Per View event- Survivor Series!! You pick four players for your team, and the remaining four will be the opposing team. It's basically a four-man tag team match. 'One Fall' is a match scheduled for one fall only. 'Brawl' is a No Holds Barred match*, as you may have guessed already. *It's a pity that in this game, No Holds Barred means only no count outs outside the ring. Weak. -Codes and secrets I don't believe there are any cheats for this game. If you have any cheats... drop by the 'Contact' section already. -Tips before you start A few tips before you begin playing WWF RAW. Read up, sucka. 1)KEEP YOUR HEALTH HIGH If you stay in tip top condition, chances of losing via pinfall will be lower. Much lower. 2)ALWAYS BE ON THE ATTACK Never, ever stop attacking, or start worrying about what the opponent will do next. It's really not worth the time. 3)TAP ALL THE BUTTONS WHEN TIED UP Tapping the buttons rapidly will easily make you break or win the a up. Also, this helps you to get up quicker, so keep tapping those buttons. -The WWF superstars Note that all finishing moves can only be excuted if your opponent's health bar is in the red zone.
