A young songstress unequaled in beauty a well as song and dance. Raised by Wang Yun as his own daughter. For the sake of Wang, who is fearful of Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu, she gets chose to both of them, and succeeds in tearing their relationship apart, with Lu Bu later killing Dong. __________________ 2) Why Should I Use Her? Diao Chan is a speedy attacker, and when used correctly, can be a great character. __________________ 3) Moves and Weapons Regular Attack: Diao Chan's regular attack consists of quick hits that pro- gress from clearing out the front to taking out everyone around her. T : Spinning strike. Good coverage. ST : Jumping attack. Standard juggler. SST : A jumping strike, good range and stuns. SSST : A strike and kick attack that hits twice, plus knockback. SSSST(T) : Standard high juggler. Press T for a followup attack. SSSSST : Fires 2 energy discs. Mounted Attack: Like every other mounted attack in the game(save for those few good ones). Standard right-to-left swinging. Dash Attack : Flips forward, kicking anyone who dares to look up her skirt. Jump Attack : Horizontal swing. Musou Attack : Diao Chan jump-spins around, hitting enemies with the heels of her feet. The hits stun. True Musou : Fire element added, plus extra spinning strikes added at the end. There's no stun effect in this version. Weapons: Mace Attack +13 4 Hits (Varying Stats) Great Mace Attack +28 5 Hits (Varying Stats) Gold Orb Attack +40 6 Hits (Varying Stats) Gold Globe Attack +40 6 Hits Musou Max +65 Defense +48 Luck +30 Reach +28 Musou Charge +30 Weapons are obtained randomly in each stage. The later the stage, and harder the difficulty, the better the weapon you will receive. However, 4th weapons must be obtained in a precise manner. Stage: The Battle of Hu Lao Gate Requirements: Defeat Yuan Shu. One of the easier 4ths to get, the tricky part is not letting Lu Bu's forces crush Yuan Shu so fast. The Precious Item report should appear to the East of the Fan Shui Gate. An easy way to complete 4th weapon quests is to have a fresh character(one who is not leveled up) be first player, and a stronger character be second player. It does not matter who the 4th weapon is for, or who kills the supply captain/gets the item. The objective is what's needed to be completed. __________________ 4) Overview Diao Chan's Musou is a bit weak, and her dash attack is absolutely horrible. Toss it in the forbidden pile with Gan Ning, Xiao Qiao, and Xiahou Yuan. Okay, bad stuff aside, if there's one thing Diao Chan's got, it's speed. If you stay on the offensive and constantly use her regular attack(which is VERY efficient), you shouldn't get hit much. Diao Chan's SST and SSST are also extremely useful, as they can hit a large crowd rather easily. If you're confident with your skills, Diao Chan's SSSSST does an excellent job of col- lapsing any incoming front lines due to the knockback effect. Her Musou might be weak, but with her True Musou, the last few hits become very useful in taming the crowd and taking charge again. When fighting generals, you have many moves at your disposal. SSSSSTT hits a nice 8 times, and if you can connect with SSSSST, you can be sure the discs can do good damage. Recommended Equipment: Speed Scroll/Red Hare Saddle Peacock Urn Dragon Amulet/Way of Musou Elixir/Wind Scroll Tortoise Amulet __________________ 5) Stage Strategy What stages? :PpPpPp 1. The Battle of Hu Lao Gate Okay, let's think American Football. Lu Bu is the fullback. He's also the offensive line, and the tight end. With that said, let Lu Bu plow into the enemy forces. You're just the halfback who has to stiffarm and run over people just for the heck of it. Take out Yuan Shu, then advance northward and sack Gongsun Zan and Liu Bei. Go West and stop Sun Jian's advance, then go North and kill Cao Cao. Now all that's left between you and a goalline is some weak lil' 120 lb cornerback. Plow through Yuan Shao's forces, exert any and all anger on archers, shut off the gates, and kill Yuan Shao. __________________ 6) Questions and Answers Q: Diao Chan's pink pantyhose is a horrible taste of fashion. A: That's not a question. And that's mean. :( Q: I fufilled the requirements for Diao Chan's 4th weapon, but no Precious Item? A: You sure you're playing on Hard? Did you kill all the subofficers? Q: Are you asking me a question? You're supposed to answer. A: It's, uh, rhetorical. Q: I grabbed the Precious Item, but all I got was this cruddy 1st/2nd/3rd weapon. A: :PpP, you used Gameshark/Sharkport save that has basic 4th Weapons. Start a brand new game file, or use EvilR's Weapon Customizable FAQ on GameFAQ.com to fix the problem. Q: My Diao Chan does no damage! A: 3rd time you didn't ask a question. :p Refer to above and get yourself a +20 Tiger Amulet somehow. Q: Where do I get 2nd/3rd weapons and good items? A: I shop at You Ting Wei side for weapons, Wu side for items. Hard mode for best results. Q: This FAQ is horrible. A: Make a better one then. Q: I just did. A: >_< __________________ 7) Super Duper Secret Stuff There's a reason this wasn't on the contents. Diao Chan's just POLYGONS! Bwahahaha, just crushed your hopes.
