Style name Junyi. Once under the command of Yuan Shao, he was forced into a tight corner due to false charges brought against him by Guo Tu. He then went on to serve Cao Cao and fought mainly against the Shu forces, where his abilities were acknowledged by Zhuge Liang. At the Battle of Jie Ting, he surrounded Ma Su and defeated him. He is counted among the Five Generals of Wei. 2) Why Should I Use Him? Zhang He is loaded with an arsenal of great moves, and has a fast attack rate. He's also not gay, so you can stop hiding, you homophobes. Go watch some anime. __________________ 3) Moves and Weapons Regular Attack: Zhang He's regular attack consists of standard claw slicing action. T : Dashing claw swipe. ST : High kick. Standard juggler. SST : A charging claw swipe. Stuns. SSST : Zhang He becomes a flying torpedo, and knocking away anyone he touches. Covers a substantial distance, and knockback effect. SSSST(T) : Flip kick. Standard juggler, press T for a followup attack that consists of 3 strikes instead of the usual 1. SSSSST(T) : Zhang He slides side to side twice, slicing troops in front of him. Mounted Attack: Like every other mounted attack in the game(save for those few good ones). Standard right-to-left swinging, although the T consists of two simultaneous claw swipes to both sides. Dash Attack : Slide kick. Jump Attack : A claw swipe from above. Musou Attack : Zhang He slides around, swinging his claws to and fro. The clearout hit is a charging swipe that has knockback effect. True Musou : Fire element added, plus extra charging swipes added at the end. Weapons: Bronze Claw Attack +16 4 Hits (Varying Stats) Steel Claw Attack +31 5 Hits (Varying Stats) Peacock Claw Attack +43 6 Hits (Varying Stats) Peacock Talon Attack +43 6 Hits + Death Jump +23 Attack +24 Reach +27 Musou Charge +29 Weapons are obtained randomly in each stage. The later the stage, and harder the difficulty, the better the weapon you will receive. However, 4th weapons must be obtained in a precise manner. Stage: The Battle at Guan Du Requirements: Defeat Chun Yuqiong with Yan Liang and Wen Chou alive. One of the easier 4ths to get, the only tricky part is pulling it off before Guan Yu kills Yan Liang and Wen Chou. Considering it rarely happens on Wei side, not so tough then. The Supply depot(and thus, Chun Yuqiong) are randomly located in the 4 compounds on the map. Keep defeating officers and run in and out of the compounds until you find the Supply Depot. Commence killing of Chun Yuqiong, then a Precious Item report should pop up to the Northeast of Cao Cao's castle, near the intersection of the 3 rivers. An easy way to complete 4th weapon quests is to have a fresh character(one who is not leveled up) be first player, and a stronger character be second player. It does not matter who the 4th weapon is for, or who kills the supply captain/gets the item. The objective is what's needed to be completed. __________________ 4) Overview Zhang He has a rather awkward Musou for some people. His 6th S leaves him open to attack, and he doesn't boast the offensive attack power of other Wei characters like Zhang Liao and Xiahou Dun. I'm just saying those awful things to fill in some space, so stay. I demand it. Zhang He's high attack speed makes up for his flaws, and with it, his Charge attacks are also quick. T is probably one of the quickest Ts in the game, so you can abuse all you want, whether to clear out crowds, or break guards. SST is the most godly stun attack in the game. Zhang He will stun a lot of people with it, so abuse that move often. SSST is one of the best 4th Charges in the game. The distance Zhang He covers is enough to take out a swarm of troops, and it makes an excellent escape move. Another move you want to abuse. SSSSST(T) on its own isn't anything special, but with Zhang He's Peacock Talon, it becomes a godly DEA, and ranks up there with Cao Cao and Lu Xun. To use it to the extreme godliness, wait for incoming troops to come at Zhang He. Do the 5S without touching anyone, and time it so that when the first of the bait waltz in, you tap T twice and wipe out 1-3 rows of attacks. 1-3 rows isn't impressive you say? Well, Zhang He's DEA is VERY wide, and if you do the 5S in front of a rather large crowd, you'll be surprised at how wide they spread out. Of course, you wouldn't care, because they'd be dead by then. Zhang He's Musou is also a move that needs to be abused greatly! Jerking the analog stick/d-pad quickly, you can guide Zhang He in and out of crowds, and decimate them easily. His Musou also makes for a great escape move, and if you're playing in a two-player game, a Team Musou could give Zhang He an infinite Musou bar as long as he keeps hitting troops, and lightning-struck troops hit by Zhang He disperse bolts onscreen. When fighting officers, Zhang He can easily combo his DEA into his Musou for large damage, and if you can get the attack angle of the clearout move right, continue to combo the officer afterwards! T, as mentioned before, comes out very quick, so using a Guard Break you're not afraid of being countered while doing, Zhang He can be a very fast killer. SSSSTT is also a great move to use and abuse. The 3 Charge Drive hits are great for comboing, and do their fair share of damage for Zhang He until he gets his 4th. Recommended Equipment: Speed Scroll/Red Hare Saddle Peacock Urn Dragon Amulet Elixir/Wind Scroll Tortoise Amulet __________________ 5) Stage Strategy 1. The Battle at Guan Du Start out by attacking Yan Liang in the South. Kill him off, then attack Wen Chou in the North. With both gone, any threat to HQ is now gone. Now, start attacking each compound until you find the Wu Chao supply depot. At this point, run in and find Chun Yuqiong, whom you have the pleasure of destroying. With the supply depot on fire, mop up any remaining troops at the compounds, then head to Yuan Shao. If Liu Bei's still lounging around, take the chance to whack him once. Kill Yuan Tan and Zhang He, shut off the Gate Captains, then kill Yuan Shao. 2. The Battle at Chang Ban Playing from Xu Huang's, Dian Wei's, and Zhang He's spot, you have more or less of a good position to work with. Just take the West path and intercept Liu Bei as he comes from the East. You should have little opposition to slow you down, so just take out Liu Bei. If Liu Qi's reinforcements pop up, kill him off ASAP. 3. The Battle at Chi Bi If you have Red Hare, ride towards the Place of Prayers, and seek out Lu Meng/Lu Xun. Kill him off. If you don't have Red Hare, then you'll have to seek out Zhou Yu/Huang Gai and kill them, unless you want to take a huge Morale hit. From that point on, you can either take a clockwise or counterclockwise path to take out all the remaining officers, who should be concentrated on either the boats or the East/West sides. 4. The Battle at Mt Ding Jun Head West and attack Zhang Fei's forces. Once you've taken him out, zoom South and run past Liu Bei. Sneak around the back and attack Huang Zhong from the rear. Clear out the area, then wait around until Zhao Yun pops up; crush the reinforcements, then go and shut off Liu Bei's beloved Gate Captain. Slaughter any living crossbowmen, and send Liu Bei out of Hanzhong. 5. The Battle at Jie Ting Run downhill and slaughter Ma Su like the sassy little brat he is. Attack Ma Chao's forces from the rear(slap around Jiang Wei to teach that sassy little traitorous brat some manners), then kill whatever's left of Wei Yan. Charge into the Shu HQ and kill Wang Ping to destroy the Supply Depots. When Zhao Yun pops up, head East and kill off that bugger. Shut off the remaining Gate Captains, then kick Zhuge Liang out of Hanzhong. 6. The Siege of He Fei Castle Start by killing Zhen Ji in the West. Do it quickly and you'll be able to save the Gate Captain. Next, work on eliminating Lu Xun, and then Lu Meng. There's two Imperial Seals nearby, one by each officer, so use those if you need help. If Sun Shao and Zhuge Jin have entered the castle already, kill them off. Next, head east and kill Sun Shang Xiang and Gan Ning. Shut off any remaining active gates, then charge for Sun Quan. Kill his Gate Captain, then attack Sun Quan. Exert any and all anger onto any surviving crossbowmen that happen to hang around. 7. The Battle at Wu Zhang Plains Start out by charging Guan Xing's and Guan Ping's forces. Dispose of those two, then go assist Xu Zhu and Cao Hong in fighting Ma Dai, or go aid Sima Zhao by killing Zhang Fei if you enjoy letting the catapults go off. Head Southwest and support whatever's left of Zhen Ji's and Xu Huang's forces by beating down Yan Yan. If the catapults haven't gone off yet, feel free to attack Jiang Wei. Otherwise, head East and attack Wei Yan, Zhang Yi and Zhang Bao. If you took the North path, be sure to kill zhang Yi and Zhang Bao ASAP to stem the flow of crossbowmen. If you're attacking from the rear, shut off the Gate Captains on the way. With the rest of Shu gone, go after Zhuge Liang. KIll Huang Quan if you want to, but zoom past the ambush and lead the offensive into Shu HQ. Kill Huang Zhong, then defeat Zhuge Liang's Gate Captains(the one that's behind Zhuge is the only one that matters, though). Kill the Prime Minister. __________________ 6) Questions and Answers Q: Zhang He is a class C ripoff of Vega!
