* Exported from MasterCook * Quick & Easy Chocolate Brownies Recipe By : Eric Hunt Serving Size : 16 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Brownies Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 c Sugar 1/4 c Evaporated milk 1/4 c Butter 8 oz Semi-sweet baking chocolate -- - broken into pieces 2 Eggs 1 ts Vanilla extract 3/4 c All-purpose flour 1/4 ts Baking soda 1/4 ts Salt 3/4 c Nuts -- chopped (optional) Heat oven to 350 F. Grease 9" square baking pan. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; remove from heat. Add chocolate, stirring until melted; beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and nuts, if desired, until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies just begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.
